The jars of Jericho and Planned Parenthood…

Almost simultaneously in our news cycle, the Planned Parenthood butchery was exposed after a lion named Cecil was killed by an American doctor in Africa. Did you know the name Cecil means ‘blind?’ I delved deeper into this entire scenario after finding it odd that the director of Planned Parenthood was also named ‘Cecile.’

While both stories were being reported, many conservatives were chastising those who found the illegal luring and killing of the lion wrong. Of course, the American Auschwitz which is endemic to Planned Parenthood and similar facilities is outrageously evil, but I think there is more on our current prophetic radar.

Cecil was in the business of looking after his pride and protecting his cubs, something many liberals and conservatives would do well to emulate. The remaining male lion, Jericho, seems to have stepped in and provided some protection, after a totally unnatural dynamic entered into their daily life due to someone else’s pride and greed.

The name Jericho was so Biblical…it immediately got my attention.

Now it gets interesting….

Recently, I happened to hear a radio broadcast from a Protestant pastor who was discussing a prophecy made by Joshua following the destruction of Jericho –

At that time Joshua pronounced this solemn oath: “Cursed before the LORD is the one who undertakes to rebuild this city, Jericho: “At the cost of his firstborn son he will lay its foundations; at the cost of his youngest he will set up its gates.”

– Joshua 6:26

After about 500 years, and during the reign of King Ahab (husband of Jezebel-associated with fallen women and promiscuity), when child sacrifice found a place among the Israelites, a man named Hiel rebuilt the foundations and gates of Jericho.

In Ahab’s time, Hiel of Bethel rebuilt Jericho. He laid its foundations at the cost of his firstborn son Abiram, and he set up its gates at the cost of his youngest son Segub, in accordance with the word of the LORD spoken by Joshua son of Nun.

1 Kings 16:34

Apparently, many believe Heil lost his sons due to some sort of a construction mishap. But according to the pastor, a more likely scenario involved child sacrifice and burial under the new gates and foundations of Jericho while Israel engaged in the worship of Baal. According to this perverse practice, babies or children were sacrificed and placed in burial jars under structures or in walls to bring good fortune.

Interestingly, Jericho was also one of the last places Jesus (the true cornerstone) visited before going on to Jerusalem to sacrifice His life for us. There He encountered a blind man whom He healed and a tax collector named Zacchaeus –

Then Jesus took unto him the twelve, and said to them: Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things shall be accomplished which were written by the prophets concerning the Son of man. For he shall be delivered to the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and scourged, and spit upon: And after they have scourged him, they will put him to death; and the third day he shall rise again. And they understood none of these things, and this word was hid from them, and they understood not the things that were said. Now it came to pass, when he drew nigh to Jericho, that a certain blind man sat by the way side, begging.

And when he heard the multitude passing by, he asked what this meant. And they told him, that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by. And he cried out, saying: Jesus, son of David, have mercy on me. And they that went before, rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried out much more: Son of David, have mercy on me. And Jesus standing, commanded him to be brought unto him. And when he was come near, he asked him,

Saying: What wilt thou that I do to thee? But he said: Lord, that I may see. And Jesus said to him: Receive thy sight: thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he saw, and followed him, glorifying God. And all the people, when they saw it, gave praise to God.

– Luke 18:31-43

And entering in, he walked through Jericho. And behold, there was a man named Zacheus, who was the chief of the publicans, and he was rich. And he sought to see Jesus who he was, and he could not for the crowd, because he was low of stature. And running before, he climbed up into a sycamore tree, that he might see him; for he was to pass that way. And when Jesus was come to the place, looking up, he saw him, and said to him: Zacheus, make haste and come down; for this day I must abide in thy house.

And he made haste and came down; and received him with joy. And when all saw it, they murmured, saying, that he was gone to be a guest with a man that was a sinner. But Zacheus standing, said to the Lord: Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have wronged any man of any thing, I restore him fourfold. Jesus said to him: This day is salvation come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham. For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

– Luke 19: 1-10

So, after Cecil (‘blind’) the lion was killed, we had the Planned Parenthood horror and a just battle over withholding taxpayer (Zacchaeus ‘the tax collector’) money from an evil-doing organization that horrifically kills babies in the name of advancing some supposed scientific cures for diseases to ‘save lives.’ Well, that again lands me in Jericho in an eerie sort of coincidence. During the latest video (about harvesting a brain from a baby WHOSE HEART WAS STILL BEATING), the organ ‘procurement specialist’ actually mentioned putting murdered babies in JARS. As I mentioned before, jars were also used in Jericho to bury those sacrificed to Baal in hopes of attaining good fortune.

Are we the blind people now?

Behold the new ‘foundation’ of societal/technical advancement, folks, and I do believe God won’t suffer it much longer. But we are being given a small window of opportunity….to do the right thing. Will we demand it or will we turn away? The small window is fitting really, because as time passes the issue will be more and more ignored.

The Sycamores

And did you catch the reference to a sycamore tree in the above Scripture passage? Are you familiar with Jonathan Cahn’s book ‘The Harbinger’ which Scripturally treats the subject of God’s hedge of protection being removed from the United States? In his latest book, he delves into the subject of the upcoming close of a Shemitah year with particular emphasis on the Hebrew calendar date of Elul 29 – both will occur in September, 2015. Note also that the recent blood moon tetrad will conclude in September and was mostly visible in the United States.

Lastly, 33 days before 9/11/2001 (2 Shemitahs ago), George Bush opened the door to federal funding of embryonic stem cell research. This ALSO involves cannibalizing human beings in the embryonic state to find ‘cures’ for diseases. I can assure you; 33 days later while towers filled with thousands of people were collapsing, and the very home base of our national defense was attacked (not to mention the deadly plane crash in Pennsylvania), NO ONE thought killing another human being via such ‘research’ could save any lives.

So, is it just me, or is this repetitive dynamic involving disrespect for human life and inevitable judgment sounding way too familiar as we advance to the climax of another 7 year Shemitah/judgment cycle?

As far as an ‘us versus them’ attitude regarding the Planned Parenthood atrocities and the killing of Cecil the lion…can’t we care about both? Isn’t is possible to use the issue of Cecil as a bridge to also discuss the butchery at Planned Parenthood with people who may, if given the chance, also share a just outrage on that issue if properly informed? Of course, we know which issue is worse but aren’t they both bad? The natural order was turned upside down when Cecil was killed prematurely, while in his prime. How much more is our natural order destroyed when people are killed before being allowed to contribute their God-given gifts to this world?

So, as many conservatives make the mistake of disregarding animals, Scripture is clear – God doesn’t. Recall the threatened destruction of Ninevah where God accepted the repentance of the people while Jonah ended up whining about it. God said –

And shall not I spare Nineveh, that great city, in which there are more than a hundred and twenty thousand persons that know not how to distinguish between their right hand and their left, and many beasts?

– Jonas 4:11

God said that only after Ninevah repented….

The latest gut-wrenching Planned Parenthood video –

Some footage of Cecil, who obviously was very used to people and probably trusted them far too much…
