As I began to post this celestial update, I was saddened to see an ad for Planned Parenthood on my blog. I rarely if ever see these ads on other sites so I can’t help but feel this ad was targeted. I hold no hatred for these people. I’m actually sad for them. IMHO, it’s too late in our spiritual time clock to be involved in such evil..
That said, with spiritual warfare at an obvious peak, I assure you my post will be timely.
First of all, there can be no doubt that we are living out a modern day ‘Tower of Babel’ courtesy of the internet. When God destroyed the Tower of Babel, He had good reason to do so. It was about limits and curtailing a quest for control, IMO. So, now we find ourselves in the midst of what God wanted to prevent, as written in the Book of Genesis. I’d say the grapes are pretty ripe now….
Now, on to the signs in the heavens we’ve experienced in the past 15 months.
First, we had ‘the Great American Eclipse which proved to be prophetic. The US was divided –
It was a visual display of what we were beginning experience, and It remains to be seen how great this rupture will be in terms of its physical manifestation or confrontation.
Many make the mistake of believing that we are only watching a ideological war. No! It’s a spiritual battle, folks, nothing less.
On to it –
Jesus said to his disciples:
“In those days after that tribulation
the sun will be darkened,
and the moon will not give its light,
and the stars will be falling from the sky,
and the powers in the heavens will be shaken.
I’ve been ruminating on a theory that this Apocalyptic portion of Scripture actually describes specific, ordered, celestial events – a solar eclipse, a lunar eclipse and a meteor shower right on the heels of a lunar eclipse. Ever wary of adding or subtracting from Scripture, I tread carefully in this arena. However, after hearing the above reading during Mass this weekend, I was nudged back to my theory.
This year we had the longest lunar eclipse of the century on July 27th when Mars (the ‘war’ planet) was at its brightest, while stationed next to the moon during a lunar eclipse. This put mars on display, literally. There might as well have been a blinking pointer next to the (war) planet. People in the Middle East were able to see the lunar eclipse in its entirety around midnight on July 27. On the heels of this was a meteor shower which was pretty much already in progress. The sun was darkened 14 days prior with a solar eclipse on July 13th. This was a triple header which could fit the description in the Scripture noted above.
The Middle East is of course still reeling from the genocide of many Christians at the hands of islamists. They experienced the tribulation, folks. I’ve heard estimates that Christianity has plummeted from 30% to 1% in the Middle East due to the hostile acts committed against them. Other estimates claim a 20% to 5% decline.
In a recent post, I also noted the practicality of taking words in context when recalling certain Biblical passages. I considered Jesus’ location – the Middle East – when He questioned whether there would be any faith left in the land upon His return. In that post, I made the case that He was literally referring to the Middle East. While many seem to believe He was referring to the entire world, the word ‘terra’ actually translates to ‘land.’ So, as Christians flee the Middle East and Churches are either destroyed or due to threats of terrorism not holding services, the context seems quite clear and likely very literal.
– That was from a June, 2015, post on this blog before the exodus of remaining Mideast Christians.
So, as we see hostility toward all things good, and the appearance of people who seem to be overtaken by rage (almost as if possessed), don’t fear…
Repent, forgive, confess, and pray for all.
