As far as my Catholic add-on, the eclipse in the U.S. will begin at 7:16PM Jerusalem time (the exact minute of sunset). Considering that we are in the 100th anniversary year of the Miracle of the Sun, and the fact that the miracle began with a vision of Our Lady of Carmel (whose feast day happens to be 7/16), that time is quite coincidental.
The eclipse also begins in Salem, which happens to be an abbreviation for Jerusalem.
